CELEBRATING ENGINEERS WEEK (FEBRUARY 21-27)

Founded in 1961 by the National Society of Professional Engineers, Engineers Week or “EWeek” is dedicated to celebrating how engineers make a difference in the world. In industries across the globe, engineers are problem-solvers essential in shaping the future. Many of the things we take for granted every day – fresh water, electricity, roads, safe buildings and homes, cell phones, computers and countless more – exist because of an engineer’s ability to visualize and create solutions for real-world problems.

At Caterpillar, it is unmistakable how important our more than 10,000 engineers and technologists are in tackling global challenges. Our engineers develop innovative products, technologies and solutions that our customers need to be successful. From bringing basic infrastructure like roads, airports and power to developing societies, to powering space missions and widening the Panama Canal, our customers couldn’t do what they do without our engines, equipment and assistance.

Caterpillar not only makes the world a better place through sustainable progress but recognizes the need to encourage the future generations of engineers that wait in the wings. By investing significantly in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs and initiatives, Caterpillar is encouraging students to pursue careers in STEM and is helping to further develop the STEM talent pipeline.
